Eveliina Mäkinen
Eveliina Mäkinen (; born 12 April 1995) is a Finnish ice hockey goaltender and member of the Finnish national team, She plays in the Swiss Women's League (SWHL A/PFWL) with EV Zug. Playing career Mäkinen was born in Kiukainen and began playing ice hockey at the age of four. She started playing with her brother and learned the game at a local ice hockey rink. She played on boys minor ice hockey teams until 2011 when she joined Team Oriflame Kuortane, the women's representative team of the Kuortaneen urheilulukio, in the Naisten SM-sarja (renamed Naisten Liiga in 2017). In the 2012–13 season, her second with Team Oriflame, she posted 3.02 goals against average and a .917 save percentage. Mäkinen joined the Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs women's ice hockey program in January of the 2014–15 season. Metropolitan Riveters
The Metropolitan Riveters (originally the New York Riveters) were a professional women's ice hockey team based in East Rutherford, New Jersey, with home games at the American Dream Meadowlands ice rink. They were one of the four charter franchises of the National Women's Hockey League (NWHL), later known as the Premier Hockey Federation (PHF). Its team name and logo were based upon Rosie the Riveter, the subject of the World War II-era motivational poster " We Can Do It!". The Riveters played one season in Brooklyn before moving to the New Jersey Devils practice rink in Newark, New Jersey, in 2016. The team then formed a promotional affiliation with the Devils and were renamed the Metropolitan Riveters; the partnership ended in 2019. Ice Hockey At The 2022 Winter Olympics – Women's Tournament
The women's tournament in ice hockey at the 2022 Winter Olympics was held in Beijing, China between 3 and 17 February 2022. Ten countries qualified for the tournament; six of them did so automatically by virtue of their ranking by the International Ice Hockey Federation, one, China, automatically qualified as hosts, while the three others took part in a qualification tournament. The United States had been the defending champion. Canada won the gold medal, defeating the United States in the final 3–2. Finland defeated Switzerland 4–0 for the bronze medal. Save percentage (often known by such symbols as SV%, SVS%, SVP, PCT) is a statistic in various Goal (sports), goal-scoring sports that track Save (goaltender), saves as a statistic. In ice hockey and lacrosse and association football, it is a statistic that represents the percentage of shot on goal (ice hockey), shots on goal a goaltender stops. Goals against average (GAA), also known as average goals against (AGA), is a statistic used in field hockey, ice hockey, lacrosse, soccer, and water polo that is the mean of goals allowed per game by a goaltender or goalkeeper (depending on sport). GAA is analogous to a baseball pitcher's earned run average (ERA). In Japanese, the same translation (防御率) is used for both GAA and ERA, because of this. For ice hockey, the goals against average statistic is the number of goals a goaltender allows per 60 minutes of playing time. It is calculated by taking the number of goals against, multiplying that by 60 (minutes) and then dividing by the number of minutes played. Team Oriflame Kuortane
Team Kuortane is an ice hockey team in the Auroraliiga, the premier women's hockey league in Finland. They are based at the Kuortaneen urheilulukio in Kuortane, a small town in South Ostrobothnia, and play at the (). Minor ice hockey or minor hockey is an umbrella term for amateur ice hockey which is played below the junior age level. Players are classified by age, with each age group playing in its own league. The 2017 IIHF Women's World Championship was an international Ice hockey tournament run by the International Ice Hockey Federation.
