Eurípedes Amoreirinha
Eurípedes Daniel Adão Amoreirinha (born 5 August 1984) is a Portuguese former professional footballer who played mainly as a central defender. Club career A product of S.L. Benfica's youth system, Amoreirinha was born in Vila Franca de Xira, Lisbon, and he made his Primeira Liga debut with farm team F.C. Alverca in 2003, then appeared in eight matches with the former in the 2004–05 season as they conquered the national title after 11 years. He finished the campaign on loan at modest G.D. Estoril Praia. After two seasons on loan with C.F. Estrela da Amadora, Amoreirinha was released by Benfica and moved to Romania's CFR Cluj for €1 million, joining the club's massive Portuguese contingent. In February 2008, he was loaned to fellow Liga I side FCM UTA Arad. Amoreirinha returned to Portugal in January 2009, moving to Académica de Coimbra and being almost exclusively used as a backup in the next top-flight campaigns, after which he was released in June 2011. Vila Franca De Xira
Vila Franca de Xira (), officially the City of Vila Franca de Xira (), is a city and municipality in the Lisbon District in Portugal. The population in 2021 was 137,659, in an area of 318.19 km2. Situated on both banks of the Tagus River, north-east of the Portuguese capital Lisbon, settlement in the area dates back to Neolithic times, as evidenced by findings in the Cave of Pedra Furada. Vila Franca de Xira is said to have been founded by French followers of Portugal's first king, Afonso I of Portugal, Afonso Henriques, around 1200. The town is mostly famous for its bull-running festivals in July and October. Taça De Portugal
The Taça de Portugal (; ) is an annual association football competition and the premier knockout tournament in Portuguese football. For sponsorship reasons, it has been known as Taça de Portugal Generali Tranquilidade since the 2024–25 season. Organised by the Portuguese Football Federation since it was first held in 1938, the competition is open to professional and amateur clubs from the top-four league divisions. Matches are played from August–September to May–June, and the final is traditionally held at the Estádio Nacional in Oeiras, near Lisbon. The cup winners qualify for the Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira (or the runners-up, in case the winners are also the league champions) and the UEFA Europa League. The Taça da Liga (), known outside Portugal as Portuguese League Cup, is an annual club football competition organised by the Liga Portuguesa de Futebol Profissional (LPFP) for teams competing in the top two tiers of Portuguese football – the Primeira Liga and Liga Portugal 2. Unlike Portugal's other domestic cup competition, the Taça de Portugal, the winners of the Taça da Liga do not qualify for European competitions. The Liga Portugal 2 (), also known as Liga Portugal Meu Super for sponsorship reasons, is the second-highest division of the Portuguese football league system.
