72 songs written by 150 songwriters have won the Eurovision Song Contest, an international song competition organised annually by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU). The contest, which has been broadcast every year since its debut in , is one of the longest-running television programmes in the world. The contest's winner has been determined using numerous Voting at the Eurovision Song Contest, voting techniques throughout its history; centre to these have been the awarding of points by juries or televoting, televoters. The entry awarded the most points is declared the winner. The first contest was not won on points, but by votes (two per country), and only the winner was announced. Lys Assia
Rosa Mina Schärer (3 March 1924 – 24 March 2018), known by her stage name Lys Assia, was a Swiss singer who won the first Eurovision Song Contest in . Assia was born in Rupperswil, Aargau, and began her stage career as a dancer, but changed to singing in 1940 where she met her first musical success in 1950 with "O mein Papa". Peter Boström
Peter Boström (born 19 May 1971) is a Swedish music producer and songwriter. He is also known as Bassflow. Boström wrote his first song at the age of seven. In 1992, at the age of 21, he started Bassflow Productions, a production company near Stockholm, Sweden. As a producer, he worked with a number of well-known Swedish artists including Bosson, Basic Element, Petrus, E-Type, Ola Svensson, Martin Stenmarck, Carola, and Charlotte Perrelli. Brendan Graham (born 12 February 1945) is an Irish songwriter and novelist.
