The Music Moves Europe Award, also known as the MME Award, is an annual prize recognizing the success of ten emerging artists or groups who reached audiences outside their own countries with their first internationally released album in the past year. The prize was known as the European Border Breakers Award (EBBA) until 2019, and the Music Moves Europe Talent Award (MMETA) until 2022. Eurosonic Noorderslag
ESNS (Eurosonic Noorderslag) is an annual four-day music showcase festival and conference held in January in Groningen, the Netherlands. The first three days of the festival (Eurosonic) feature artists from all over Europe, the last day of the festival (Noorderslag) features only Dutch artists. The conference is held during all four days of the event. The Darkness (band)
The Darkness are a British hard rock band formed in Lowestoft in 2000. The band consists of Justin Hawkins (vocals, guitar), his brother Dan Hawkins (musician), Dan Hawkins (guitar), Frankie Poullain (bass) and Rufus Tiger Taylor (drums). The Darkness came to prominence with the release of their debut album, ''Permission to Land'', in 2003. Las Ketchup is a Spanish girl group founded by flamenco record producer Manuel "Queco" Ruiz. Marisa dos Reis Nunes (born 16 December 1973), known professionally as Mariza (), is a Portuguese fado singer. Mariza was born in Lourenço Marques, Portuguese Mozambique, to a Portuguese father, José Brandão Nunes, and a Mozambican mother, Isabel Nunes. The Thrills are an Irish rock band originally formed in Dublin in 2001. The band was founded by lead vocalist Conor Deasy and guitarist Daniel Ryan, guitarist and bass player Padraic McMahon, pianist Kevin Horan and drummer Ben Carrigan.
