2014–15 Eurocup Basketball
The 2014–15 Eurocup Basketball season was the 13th edition of Europe's second-tier level transnational competition for men's professional basketball clubs, the EuroCup. The EuroCup is the European-wide league level that is one level below the EuroLeague. Khimki won the competition, after beating Herbalife Gran Canaria in the Finals, and earned a spot in the regular season of the 2015–16 Euroleague. Competition format The competition format was the same as in the 2013–14 season, but reducing the Regular Season. For this year 36 teams joined this first stage and were divided into two conferences. The Regular Season featured six groups of six teams each one, where the four best teams qualified to the Last 32 stage with the eight teams that do not qualify to the 2014–15 Euroleague Top 16. Randy Culpepper
Randy Lechard Culpepper Sr. (born May 16, 1989) is an American professional basketball player for the Gezira of the Egyptian Basketball Premier League. College career He played for the University of Texas El Paso Miners. He is in Conference USA's top 15 all-time in career scoring, and in 2009–10 was named the Conference USA Men's Basketball Player of the Year. In Culpepper's first season, he was named NCAA sixth man of year. He averaged 12 points and 2 rebounds. In his second year he was a solid starter averaging 15 points and 3 rebounds. His 3rd year, he was a C-USA champ averaging 17 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists. He had the league high with 45 points against West Carolina. His senior year he averaged 19 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists. Professional career On June 29, 2011 he signed with Ferro-ZNTU of the Ukrainian SuperLeague. Anton Aleksandrovich Ponkrashov (, born April 23, 1986) is a Russian professional basketball. Standing at , he can play as a swingman and as a point guard. Professional career Ponkrashov joined Pulkovo during the 2001–02 season. He moved to LenVo Saint Petersburg for the 2002–03 season. He then moved to Spartak St. Petersburg for the 2004–05 season.
