EuroLeague Season Statistical Leaders
This page details the EuroLeague's individual season statistical basketball leaders since the 1991–92 season. Under previous EuroLeague competition formats, the "Regular Season" stats leaders were not counted as the official league stats leaders in the EuroLeague. Only the "Full Season" stats leaders were counted as the official league leaders of the EuroLeague. Therefore, playing solely in the "Regular Season" phase of previous EuroLeague season formats, did not qualify a player to be among the league's leaders. To qualify to be among the EuroLeague season stats leaders, a player must play in at least 51% of the possible games that can be played in a given season. EuroLeague
The EuroLeague is a European men's professional basketball club competition. The league is widely recognised as the top-tier and the most prestigious men's basketball league in Europe. The league consists of 20 teams, of which 16 are given long-term licences and wild cards, making the league a semi-closed league. The league was first organized by FIBA in 1958, subsequently by ULEB in 2000 and then solely by Euroleague Basketball. The competition was introduced in 1958 as the FIBA European Champions Cup (renamed the FIBA EuroLeague in 1996), which operated under FIBA's umbrella until Euroleague Basketball was created for the 2000–01 season. The FIBA European Champions Cup and the EuroLeague are considered to be the same competition, with the change of name being simply a re-branding. 2000–01 EuroLeague
The 2000–01 Euroleague was the inaugural basketball season of the EuroLeague, under ULEB and its newly formed Euroleague Basketball Company authority. Overall it was the 44th season of the premier competition for European men's professional basketball clubs overall. Initially it was not recognised or sanctioned by FIBA and considered a breakaway competition. It started on October 16, 2000, with a regular season game between hosts Real Madrid Teka and Olympiacos, which was held at the Raimundo Saporta Pavilion, in Madrid, Spain, and it ended with the last championship finals game on May 10, 2001, which was held at the PalaMalaguti arena, in Bologna, Italy. Keith Langford
Andre Keith Langford (born September 15, 1983) is an American former professional basketball player. Standing at , he primarily played at the shooting guard position. He played college basketball for the Kansas Jayhawks. Among the numerous accolades and trophies he collected during career, Langford was an All-EuroLeague First Team selection in 2014 and won the Alphonso Ford EuroLeague Top Scorer Trophy two times (in 2014 and 2017). Bobby Brown (basketball)
Robert Douglas Brown (born September 24, 1984) is an American former professional basketball player who is the director of player development for the Cal State Fullerton Titans men's basketball team. Standing at , he played the point guard position. After graduating from Cal State Fullerton, Brown entered the 2007 NBA draft, but went undrafted. In his first pro season, he played overseas with the German League team Alba Berlin, and in 2008, he returned to the United States, where he played for several NBA teams, including the Sacramento Kings, Minnesota Timberwolves, New Orleans Hornets, and the Los Angeles Clippers. Bo McCalebb
Lester "Bo" McCalebb (; born May 4, 1985) is an American-Macedonian former professional basketball player. He represented the senior Macedonian national team internationally. Standing at , he played at the point guard position. Born and raised in New Orleans, he attended the University of New Orleans. Linas Kleiza
Linas Kleiza (; born January 3, 1985) is a Lithuanian professional basketball executive and former player. Standing at , he played at the small forward and power forward positions. In 2010, he was the Alphonso Ford EuroLeague Top Scorer Trophy winner and a member of the All-EuroLeague First Team. Kleiza represented the senior Lithuanian national basketball team in international competitions. He led them to a bronze medal in the 2010 FIBA World Championship, and was chosen to the All-Tournament Team. Marc Salyers
Marc Douglas Salyers (born February 28, 1979) is an American retired professional basketball player. He played at the small forward and power forward positions. College career Salyers played college basketball at Samford University with the Samford Bulldogs from 1997 to 2001. In his senior season, he averaged 17.2 points per game. Professional career Salyers played his first two professional years with Cimberlo Novara of the Italian Legadue. For the 2003–04 season, he moved to Turkey and signed with Oyak Renault. He was the top scorer of the 2003–04 TBL season, with average of 25.3 points per game. Alphonso Ford Trophy
The Alphonso Ford EuroLeague Top Scorer Trophy, also known as the EuroLeague best scorer, is an annual basketball EuroLeague awards, award of European professional club basketball system, Europe's premier level league, the EuroLeague, Turkish Airlines EuroLeague. It is given to the top scorer throughout the EuroLeague season, up until the EuroLeague Final Four, Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Final Four stage of the season. The award, under its current name, began in the Euroleague 2004-05, 2004–05 season, and is named after the late Alphonso Ford, who was one of the greatest scorers in EuroLeague history. Since the Alphonso Ford award has been given out (2004–05 season onward), a player could average the most points during the EuroLeague full season competition, and not win the award, since it is only counted for games up to the EuroLeague Final Four. Igor Rakočević
Igor Rakočević ( sr-cyrl, Игор Ракочевић; born 29 March 1978) is a Serbian professional basketball executive and former player. At a height of 1.94 m (6'4 ") tall, he played at both the point guard and shooting guard positions, but he spent the vast majority of his career playing as a shooting guard. During his playing career, Rakočević was a two-time All-EuroLeague Team member, and a three-time Alphonso Ford EuroLeague Top Scorer Trophy winner. He was also a member of the senior FR Yugoslavian national team, which was eventually renamed the Serbian and Montenegrin national team. Points Per Game
Points per game, often abbreviated PPG, is the average number of points scored by a player or team per game played in a sport, over the course of a series of games, a whole season, or a career. It is calculated by dividing the total number of points by number of games. The terminology is often used in basketball and ice hockey. For description of sports points see points for ice hockey or points for basketball. In games divided into fixed time periods, especially those in which a player may exit and re-enter the game multiple or an unlimited number of times, a player may receive the same credit (in this context, a liability) for participation in a game regardless of how long (''i.e.'', for what portion of the game clock's elapsing) they were actually on the field or court. Juan Carlos Navarro (basketball)
Juan Carlos Navarro Feijoo, commonly known as either Juan Carlos Navarro or J. C. Navarro (born June 13, 1980), is a Spanish former professional basketball player and current basketball executive. He is the current general manager of the Spanish EuroLeague club FC Barcelona Bàsquet. During his playing career, at a height of tall, he played at the shooting guard position. During his playing days, Navarro was nicknamed "La Bomba" ( English: "The Bomb"), which is also the Spanish name for his signature basketball move, the tear drop, which was the shot Navarro was a specialist in and became well-known for. Drew Nicholas
Andrew Lawrence Nicholas (born May 17, 1981) is an American former professional basketball player. A shooting guard, Nicholas was the leading scorer in the EuroLeague 2005–06 season, being awarded the Alphonso Ford Trophy. He is a two-time EuroLeague champion, winning in 2009 and 2011 with Panathinaikos.
