Albert Etter (1872–1950) was an American plant breeder best known for his work on strawberry and apple varieties. Early life and education Albert Felix Etter was born near Shingle Springs, California, Shingle Springs in El Dorado County, California, on November 27, 1872. He was one of ten surviving children of the Swiss-born Benjamin Etter (d. 1889), all but one of whom were boys. Around 1876 the family moved to Humboldt County, California, Humboldt County, where Benjamin acquired a farm near Ferndale, California, Ferndale and became the first person to grow lentils in the county. William F. Etter (born February 18, 1950) is a former American football quarterback. He was an All-American at Lewis and Clark High School in Spokane; a two-game starter for the University of Notre Dame until a knee injury ended his college career; and a three-year backup for the CFL's Hamilton Tiger-Cats, from 1973 to 1975. Robert Glenn Etter (born August 8, 1945) is an American former professional football player who was a placekicker for four seasons in the National Football League (NFL) and World Football League (WFL) during the 1960s and 1970s. He played college football for the Georgia Bulldogs. He played professionally for the NFL's Atlanta Falcons in 1968 and 1969, and the Memphis Southmen of the WFL in 1974 and 1975. Carrie Etter (born 1969) is an American-born poet, critic, and academic. Her work explores the articulation of trauma and grief through formal innovation in poetry, the craft of poetry (particularly prose poetry and ecopoetry), 20th and 21st-century poetry criticism, and the contemporary short story. She is internationally published. Biography Originally from Normal, Illinois, Etter moved to Southern California at the age of 19, and on to London in 2001. Maria Beulah Woodworth-Etter (July 22, 1844–September 16, 1924) was an American healing evangelist. Her ministry style was a model for Pentecostalism and the later Charismatic movement, earning her the title "''Mother of Pentecost''" in some circles. Life Woodworth-Etter was born in New Lisbon, Columbiana County, Ohio in 1844, as Mariah Beulah Underwood; the fourth daughter of Samuel and Matilda Underwood. Despite her first name often spelled as Maria, it was pronounced Ma-ri-ah. Her father Samuel was an alcoholic and her family was often in poverty. Neither of her parents were religious and she was not exposed to church until her teen years.
