Eternal Lord
Eternal Lord was an English deathcore band that formed in 2005 and disbanded in 2008. History Eternal Lord was formed in 2005 by former members of The Hunt for Ida Wave and Burning Skies. In 2006 the band issued their debut EP, which featured original vocalist Sam Ricketts. He subsequently left the band in 2007 to pursue a different career path and was replaced by former The Hunt for Ida Wave and I Killed The Prom Queen vocalist Ed Butcher. Throughout April 2007 they toured with All That Remains on their "The Fall of Ideals European Tour 2007" alongside Textures and Misery Signals. Eternal Lord's debut album '' Blessed Be This Nightmare,'' was released throughout the UK and Europe in March 2008 via Golf Records and in the US via Ferret Music. The album was written by Butcher and Gregory. Swindon
Swindon () is a town in Wiltshire, England. At the time of the 2021 Census the population of the built-up area was 183,638, making it the largest settlement in the county. Blessed Be This Nightmare
Blessed Be This Nightmare is Eternal Lord's first and only full-length album. It was released on 17 March 2008 in the United Kingdom through Golf Records and the following day in the United States on Ferret Records. ''The Ottawa Citizen'' listed it as one of the "Top 10 Metal CDs of 2008". Reception Joe Pelone of ''Punknews.org'' gave it a rating of one out of five stars. He was not impressed with the album, saying: "the laughably titled ''Blessed Be This Nightmare'', cycles through the metal/hardcore playbook quickly and efficiently. But as a listening experience, it's a total death march, melodramatic yet ultimately tame". He closed out his review, opining; "this music does not move me in any possible way, whether musically, lyrically, or even ironically". All Shall Perish is an American deathcore band from Oakland, California, formed in 2002. The band was signed to Nuclear Blast and have released four full-length albums through the label. Their latest album, ''This Is Where It Ends,'' was released in 2011. All Shall Perish are noted for being one of the earliest pioneering bands in the deathcore genre. The Acacia Strain is an American deathcore band that was founded in 2001 and originally based in Chicopee, Massachusetts, but now based in Albany, New York. The group is currently signed to Rise Records and initially consisted of high school friends Vincent Bennett, Christopher Daniele, and Ben Abert, Karrie Whitfield, Daniel "DL" Laskiewicz, and Daniel Daponde joining shortly after. Ferret Music
Ferret Music was an American independent record label turned Warner Music Group subsidiary, founded in 1996. The label is owned by metalcore band NORA's vocalist, Carl Severson, and based in West Windsor, New Jersey. Ferret recently started an imprint called New Weathermen Records. Warner Music Group's Alternative Distribution Alliance acquired a stake in Ferret Music in August, 2006, and as a result is currently distributed by Fontana Distribution, Alternative Distribution Alliance and eOne Music. As of September 12, 2007, Ferret partnered with an uprising extreme metal and hardcore punk label out of the UK, Siege of Amida Records (S.O.A.R.). S.O.A.R will retain A&R responsibilities. Misery Signals
Misery Signals was an American-Canadian metalcore band formed in Wisconsin in 2002. History Formation (2002–2003) Misery Signals was formed after the disbanding of several bands, including 7 Angels 7 Plagues, Hamartia, and Compromise. Having played briefly with 7 Angels 7 Plagues, former Compromise vocalist, Jesse Zaraska, was approached by Ryan Morgan and Kyle Johnson for a new project which would become Misery Signals. Jeff Aust from Hamartia joined on as second guitar and Ryan Morgan's brother Branden joined as the band's drummer. Aust soon left the band and has since gone on to join With Honor. He was replaced by Stu Ross, a friend of Jesse Zaraska's from St. Albert, Alberta. In 2003 the band released its eponymous debut EP. Deathcore
Deathcore is an extreme metal subgenre that combines death metal with metalcore. The genre consists of death metal guitar riffs, blast beats, and metalcore Breakdown (music)#Heavy metal and punk rock, breakdowns. While there are some precursors to the concept of death metal fused with metalcore and hardcore elements seen in the 1990s, deathcore itself emerged in the early 2000s and gained prominence beginning in the mid-2000s. Textures are a Dutch progressive metalcore band, formed in 2001. Textures' lineup revolved around founding members Jochem Jacobs, Stef Broks, Bart Hennephof, and bassist Remko Tielemans who joined in 2007. Since 2010, vocalist Daniël de Jongh and keyboardist Uri Dijk have been with the band. All That Remains is an American Heavy metal music, heavy metal band from Springfield, Massachusetts, formed in 1998. They have released ten studio albums, a All That Remains: Live, live CD and DVD, and have sold over a million records worldwide.
