Estádio 5 de Julho is a multi-purpose stadium in São Filipe, Cape Verde just east of the city center known as Pé de Campo and is near Alto da Aguadinha. It is currently used mostly for football (soccer), football matches. The stadium holds 1,000 people. The stadium is named with the date of Cape Verdean independence. About the stadium The stadium is home to the island's best clubs including Académica do Fogo, Botafogo FC (Cape Verde), Botafogo and Vulcânicos, it is also home to Juventude and the lesser club Atlântico. Teams based in a subdivision playing at the stadium are Spartak d'Aguadinha, Brasilim and Nova Era FC, Nova Era. Other teams that base in another part include União (Cape Verde), União FC from São Lourenço and Valência (Fogo), Valência from As Hortas. Its size is 100 by 65 m. The Cape Verdean Super Cup ( Portuguese: ''Super Taça de Cabo Verde'', Capeverdean Crioulo, ALUPEC or ALUPEK: ''Super Tasa di Kauberdi'') is a Super Cup competition played during the season in Cape Verde. The competition is governed by the Cape Verdean Football Federation (FCF). The national championship winner competes with the cup winner, in the 2014 edition, the 2013 super cup winner played with the 2014 national champion. The first super cup competition began in 2013 which took place on 1 May and the last one took place in 2014 which took place on 30 April. The regional champion competes with the cup champion. The 2014 Cape Verdean Football Championship season was the 35th of the competition of the first-tier football in Cape Verde. Its started on 5 April and finished on 31 May, earlier than the previous year as some days later, television viewers would later tune to the 2014 World Cup which took place in Brazil. The tournament was organized by the Cape Verdean Football Federation. CS Mindelense won the tenth title and their second in a row, its total number of titles superseded Sporting Praia's totals by one. They did not participate in the 2015 CAF Champions League.
