''Estimúlame'' is the second studio album by Spanish duo Azúcar Moreno, released on the EMI- Odeon label in 1986. The album whose title translates as ''Stimulate Me'' and which just like the debut '' Con La Miel En Los Labios'' mainly combined flamenco with mainstream pop and included the single "Estimúlame" and two tracks with Los Chunguitos, "Azul, Azul" and "Barquito De Papel", was also a modest commercial success in Spain on its original release. In 1992, after the duo had signed with Epic Records and had had their international breakthrough with the albums '' Bandido'' and ''Mambo'', EMI's American subsidiary Capitol Records released the 20 track CD compilation ''Con La Miel En Los Labios'', comprising both their debut album and ''Estimúlame''. Azúcar Moreno
Azúcar Moreno (; Spanish for "brown sugar") is a Spanish music duo composed of sisters Antonia "Toñi" and Encarnación "Encarna" Salazar. The duo has sold more than three million albums and singles since 1984 domestically, and became famous in Europe, the United States and Latin America in the 1990s, with approximately twelve million albums sold worldwide. Biography Consisting of sisters Antonia "Toñi" (14 March 1963) and Encarnación "Encarna" Salazar (10 January 1961), the singing duo comes from Badajoz. ''Carne De Melocotón'' is the third studio album by Spanish duo Azúcar Moreno, their debut for the CBS-Epic label. The album, whose title translates as ''Peach Flesh'', was released in 1988 and saw the Salazár sisters embracing influences from contemporary pop, rock and dance music and arrangements with prominent use of synthesizers and drum machines, combined with a new bolder and sexier image. The lead single was "Aunque Me Falte El Aire" which also was their debut single on the UK market, then released under the title "Breathless". It was however a house music remix of the follow-up "Debajo Del Olivo" ("Under The Olive Tree") which became their breakthrough in Spain, and the track also became an underground club hit in Continental Europe and Scandinavia in early 1989. Odeon Records is a record label founded in 1903 by Max Straus and Heinrich Zuntz of the International Talking Machine Company in Berlin, Germany. The label's name and logo come from the Odéon-Théâtre de l'Europe in Paris. History Straus and Zuntz bought the company from Carl Lindström that he had founded in 1897. Flamenco
Flamenco () is an art form based on the various folkloric music traditions of southern Spain, developed within the Gitanos, gitano subculture of the region of Andalusia, and also having historical presence in Extremadura and Region of Murcia, Murcia. In a wider sense, the term is used to refer to a variety of both contemporary and traditional musical styles typical of southern Spain. Los Chunguitos
Los Chunguitos are a Spanish Romani rumba flamenca group from Badajoz, Extremadura, formed in Vallecas, Madrid in 1973. The group's nucleus was the three brothers Juan (1954), Manuel (1962), and José Salazar (1957), whose uncle was the flamenco singer . Their sisters, Toñi and Encarna, sang backup and would later go on to success on their own as Azúcar Moreno. The name "Los Chunguitos" comes from the pastime of throwing small stones at trains. They began as street buskers, playing in Madrid. In 1977, they auditioned at the offices of record label EMI, and producer convinced the label to sign them. ''Bandido'' is the fourth studio album by Spanish duo Azúcar Moreno, released on CBS-Epic in 1990. The album became the Salazár sisters' international breakthrough. The title track " Bandido" was chosen to represent Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest 1990, held in Zagreb, Yugoslavia. A house music anthem, co-written and produced by the well-known guitar player and producer Jaime Stinus and one of Spain's most prolific dance producers Raúl Orellana, complete with palmas and flamenco guitars, "Bandido" was turned down by the bookmakers before the contest since Spain's previous ethnic entries usually never fared well; in 1983 fellow flamenco singer Remedios Amaya's "¿Quién maneja mi barca?" had for example finished last with zero points. ''Mambo'' is the fifth studio album by Spanish duo Azúcar Moreno, released on CBS-Epic in 1991. The duo's two previous studio albums '' Carne De Melocotón'' and '' Bandido'' had resulted in the release of two remix albums, '' Mix in Spain'' and ''The Sugar Mix Album''. ''Mambo'' was their first studio album on which the influences from contemporary dance music genres like house music, R&B and hip hop were fully integrated in the original production; the track "Feria" even saw the sisters making their debut as rappers.
