Estado de México–Faren Kuota () was a professional women's cycling team based in the Mexico, which competed in elite road bicycle racing events such as the UCI Women's Road World Cup. Team history 2014 Riders out On September 18 Lucy Martin left the team, joining Matrix Fitness-Vulpine for the 2015 season. On October 11, Fabiana Luperini announced her retirement from the sport. On October 17 Rossella Ratto and Anna Trevisi left the team to join ASD Giusfredi Ciclismo for the 2015 season. Road Bicycle Racing
Road bicycle racing is the cycle sport discipline of road cycling, held primarily on Road surface, paved roads. Road racing is the most popular professional form of bicycle racing, in terms of numbers of competitors, events and spectators. The two most common competition formats are mass start events, where riders start simultaneously (though sometimes with a Handicapping, handicap) and race to a set finish point; and time trials, where individual time trial, individual riders or team time trial, teams race a course alone against the clock. Nicole Cooke
Nicole Denise Cooke, MBE (born 13 April 1983) is a Welsh former professional road bicycle racer and Commonwealth, Olympic and World road race champion. At Beijing in 2008 she became the first British woman to win a Gold Olympic medal in any cycling discipline. Cooke announced her retirement from the sport on 14 January 2013 at the age of 29. Early life Cooke was born in Swansea, and grew up in Wick, Vale of Glamorgan. She attended Brynteg Comprehensive School in Bridgend, where she gained the Rankin Prize, awarded each year for the highest academic achievement by a girl at GCE A Levels. She began cycling at 11, starting at Cardiff Ajax Cycling Club of which she is a life member. At 16 she won her first senior national title, becoming the youngest rider to take the senior women's title at the 1999 British National Road Race Championships. Elena Cecchini (born 25 May 1992) is an Italian racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam . She competed in the 2013 UCI women's team time trial in Florence. Career In 2013 and 2014, she rode for the team. In November 2015 she was announced as part of the team's inaugural squad for the 2016 season. She remained with the team until the end of the 2020 season; in August 2020, she signed a two-year contract with the team, from the 2021 season. The 2014 Friends Life Women's Tour was the inaugural edition of The Women's Tour, a stage race held in Great Britain, with a Union Cycliste Internationale, UCI rating of 2.1. It was the ninth stage race of the 2014 in women's road cycling, 2014 Women's Elite cycling calendar. It is the only race in Great Britain, apart from the National Championships, on this calendar.
