Estadio Unión Tarma
Estadio Unión Tarma is a multi-use stadium in Tarma, Peru. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Asociación Deportiva Tarma (ADT) of the Liga 1, and Sport Dos de Mayo of the Copa Perú. The stadium has a capacity of 9,100 spectators. History The stadium was used by ADT since its construction in the 1980s, which a initial capacity of 6,000. In 2021, ADT returned to the Peruvian Primera División, after gaining promotion from the 2023 Copa Perú and the stadium was used in the 2022 season. Because of ADT promotion, the stadium was renovated in 2022, and increased its capacity to 9,100. Tarma
Santa Ana de la Ribera de Tarma, known as Tarma, is the capital city of Tarma Province in Junín Region, Peru. The city has a population of 43,042 as of the 2017 census. History Pre-Hispanic era Recent archaeological excavations show that prior to Inca occupation, the gorges of Tarma were settled by many ethnic groups. The Chinchaycocha were to the northwest, mainly what is today La Oroya and northern part of the valley. The xauxa settled to the southern part, south of Tarma river. A small group called Palcamayo settled to the east section. When the Inca arrived, they built up a new province in Tarma. They took away people and territory from the former ethnic groups and building a strategic political province, which allowed them to better control the large ethnic groups of Chinchaycocha, Xauxa and Wanka. Asociación Deportiva Tarma, commonly referred as ADT, or Tarma, is a Peruvian professional association football, football club based in the city of Tarma, Department of Junín, Junín.
