Estadio Juan Ramón Brevé Vargas is a soccer venue in Juticalpa, Olancho, Honduras. It is the headquarters of Juticalpa F.C. and Olancho FC, both of the Honduran Liga Nacional. It was inaugurated in July 2015. First game The first official game was played on Sunday 9 August 2015 between hosts Juticalpa F.C. and Real C.D. España for the game week two of the 2015–16 Honduran Liga Nacional season. The match ended with a 2–0 victory for the home team. The first official goal was scored by Real España's defender Wilfredo Barahona in his own net. It was also Juticalpa's first ever game in first division. Juticalpa, Olancho
Juticalpa () is the capital of Olancho Department in Honduras, with a population of 75,790 (2023 calculation), and the municipal seat of Juticalpa Municipality. Situated in a broad river valley alongside the Rio Juticalpa, the town is a commercial centre for much of Olancho's ranching and agricultural economy. Its Catedral de la Inmaculada Concepción, devoted to the immaculate Conception, is the cathedral episcopal see of the suffragan Roman Catholic Diocese of Juticalpa. Geography The Juticalpa area encompasses the Guayape River valley, bordered by the Sierra de Agalta range. Among the most notable of the small villages in the area is La Concepción and La Empalizada. The lempira (, sign: L, ISO 4217 code: HNL;) is the currency of Honduras. It is subdivided into 100 centavos. Etymology The lempira was named after the 16th-century ''cacique'' Lempira, a ruler of the indigenous Lenca people, who is renowned in Honduran folklore for leading the local native resistance against the Spanish ''conquistador'' forces. Olancho Fútbol Club, previously known as C.D. Alianza Becerra, is a Honduran professional football club based in Juticalpa, Olancho, Honduras, that competes in the Liga Nacional de Fútbol Profesional de Honduras. History Founded in 2010 as C.D. 2015–16 Honduran Liga Nacional
The 2015–16 Honduran Liga Nacional season was the 50th Honduran Liga Nacional edition, since its establishment in 1965. For this season, the system format remained the same as the previous season. The tournament began on 31 July 2015 and ended on 22 May 2016. 2015–16 teams A total of 10 teams will contest the tournament, including 9 sides from the 2014–15 season plus Juticalpa F.C., promoted from the 2014–15 Liga de Ascenso. Wilfredo "Will" Barahona Euceda (born 31 January 1983) is a Honduran footballer who currently plays as an attacking or defending right back for Liga Nacional de Honduras club Real España.
