CD Oro
Club Deportivo Oro is a Mexican professional football club based in Ciudad Guzmán, Jalisco, that competes in Liga TDP, the fourth level division of Mexican football. Founded in 1923, it was one of five clubs from the state of Jalisco to play in the Primera División de México. History Origins The club's history dates back to 1923, when a group of jewelers got together and founded the club to promote their company. The club joined the old Liga Occidental De Jalisco. Albino Ruvalcaba and Felipe Martínez Sandoval were the ones that really took on the idea of making this club worthy of playing in the first division. Jalisco Stadium is a football stadium located in Guadalajara, Mexico. It is the third-largest Mexican football stadium behind Estadio Azteca and Estadio Olímpico Universitario with a capacity of 56,713 spectators. History Estadio Jalisco was the home ground of Guadalajara, one of the oldest football teams in Mexico, until 2010. It remains the home stadium of Atlas in the Liga MX and Club Universidad de Guadalajara in the Liga de Expansión MX. Several football preliminary matches took place for the 1968 Summer Olympics. The stadium hosted games in two separate FIFA World Cups in 1970 and 1986.
