Espíritu (band)
Espíritu is an Argentine progressive rock band founded in 1972. The group has had a very fragmented history, due to a variety of reasons. Nonetheless, they were an important act during the heyday of prog-rock in Argentina in the mid-1970s, and one of the few bands from that period that are active today. History The band spent its first two years in the tour circuit, their live performances achieving some notoriety by word-of-mouth. In 1975, they would release their first LP by the name of ''Crisálida''. It was both critically and commercially acclaimed as one of the finest Argentine symphonic rock records of the year. Espíritu (wrestler)
Espíritu / Dark Espíritu (Spanish for "Spirit") (born December 9, 1975) is a Mexican Luchador (professional wrestler) who's most well known for working as a heel (bad guy, referred to as Rudó in Spanish) character in Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA). Espíritu was original a member of the stable Los Vatos Locos, replacing Charly Manson when he left to form The Black Family in mid-2001. In November 2005 the Black Family asked Espíritu to join their group as they became part of La Secta Cibernética. Espíritu switched to the Black Family but parted amicably with the other Vatos Locos and at times teams with his old teammates Picudo, Nygma and Silver Cat. When La Secta became La Secta del Mesías Espíritu adopted the darker more "gothic" look that came with the shift in name. Edgardo Espiritu
Edgardo Bautista Espiritu (June 7, 1935 – April 29, 2025) was a Filipino lawyer, diplomat and banker. He served as Secretary of the Department of Finance during the Estrada administration before resigning and testifying against Estrada during the latter's impeachment trials. Espiritu later served as Philippine Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Iceland. Background Espiritu received his law degree from the University of the Philippines College of Law in 1958. He was a member of the Upsilon Sigma Phi fraternity. Espiritu died on April 29, 2025, at the age of 89. Career Banking and finance Espiritu served as president of Metrobank, the Philippine National Bank, and Westmont Bank.
