Biography Ernő Mesterházy (not to be mistaken with Attila Mesterházy of the Hungarian Socialist Party) has been a chief counsellor to Gábor Demszky, mayor of Budapest. Mesterházy is an influential and powerful businessman, a film producer, and owns a record company too, Bahia Music. Ernő Mesterházy has been working not only as a counsellor to Demszky but also he had an authorization, a contract to represent Demszky in financial matters of Budapest including Metro building and BKV (Budapest's public transport company). Although he's been doing this for several years his contract was signed only in summer 2009. Film production career Mesterházy has been involved in the film industry since the early 1990s. Attila Mesterházy
Attila Mesterházy (born 30 January 1974) is a Hungarian politician, who served as the seventh chairman of the Hungarian Socialist Party (MSZP) from 10 July 2010 to 29 May 2014. He was a Member of Parliament between 2004 and 2022. He was the party's candidate for the position of Prime Minister of Hungary in the 2010 Hungarian parliamentary election, 2010 and 2014 Hungarian parliamentary election, 2014 parliamentary elections. Hungarian Socialist Party
The Hungarian Socialist Party (, ), commonly known by its acronym MSZP (), is a centre-left to left-wing social-democratic and pro-European political party in Hungary. It was founded on 7 October 1989 as a post-communist evolution and one of two legal successors of the Hungarian Socialist Workers' Party (MSZMP). Along with its conservative rival Fidesz, MSZP was one of the two most dominant parties in Hungarian politics until 2010; however, the party lost much of its popular support as a result of the Őszöd speech, the consequent 2006 protests in Hungary, and then the 2008 financial crisis. Gábor Demszky
Gábor Demszky (, born 4 August 1952) is a Hungarian politician, lawyer and sociologist by qualification. Demszky was the Mayor of Budapest from 1990 to 2010. He was a founding member of the Alliance of Free Democrats (SZDSZ) between 1988 and 2010. Biography As a teenager, Demszky joined an informal Maoist radical group, which criticized the socialist Kádár's government from an ultra-hardliner communist viewpoint. After two years, he lost faith in political left ideas and took interest in libertarian ideology. He earned a degree in sociology from Eötvös Loránd University. Ildikó Enyedi (; born 15 November 1955) is a Hungarian film director and screenwriter. She is best known for directing ''On Body and Soul'', which won the top prize at the 67th Berlin International Film Festival among other awards, and was nominated for a Foreign Language 90th Academy Awards, Academy Award. Early life and education Enyedi was born in Budapest in 1955. Her father, György Enyedi (geographer), György Enyedi, was a geographer and economist who played a major role in the long-term development of regional science.
