Eric Matthews (born January 12, 1969, in Compton, California, United States) is an American composer, musician, recording artist, and record producer. Career Eric Matthews began his serious recording career as one half of the band Cardinal. Cardinal was formed with Australian singer-songwriter Richard Davies in 1992 while both lived in Boston, Massachusetts. Cardinal introduced Matthews as a multi-instrumentalist and arranger while Davies contributed most of the songwriting. Cardinal, while not a huge commercial success, made a big splash among sophisticated music fans in most of the West's big cities and, with its 1994 self-titled debut, cemented itself as one of the pivotal bands of the 1990s. Eric Dawon Matthews (born May 3, 1974) is an American serial killer and rapist who killed two of his ex-girlfriends in Indiana in 1994, followed by his wife and stepson in Louisiana in 1998. Additionally linked to two rapes while on the run, he was arrested and put on trial after years of delay, where he was found guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment. Early life Little is known about Matthews' upbringing. Born in Indianapolis on May 3, 1974, his troubles began as early as age 3, when one of his uncles began molesting him. Erik Mathews Flowers (born March 1, 1978) is an American former professional football player who was a linebacker in the National Football League (NFL). He was selected in the first round (26th overall) of the 2000 NFL draft by the Buffalo Bills. He played college football for the Arizona State Sun Devils and Trinity Valley Community College.
