Eric Jeremy Edgar Dier (born 15 January 1994) is an English professional Association football, footballer who plays as a Defender (association football)#Centre-back, centre-back and Midfielder#Defensive midfielder, defensive midfielder for Bundesliga club FC Bayern Munich, Bayern Munich. He will join Ligue 1 club AS Monaco FC, Monaco on 1 July 2025. Dier grew up in Portugal, where he came through the youth ranks at Sporting CP, making his Sporting CP B, reserve and senior debuts in 2012. In 2014, he moved to English club Tottenham Hotspur F.C., Tottenham Hotspur for a fee of £4 million, going on to score 13 goals and total 365 appearances for the club, including in the 2015 Football League Cup final and the 2019 UEFA Champions League final. Peter Croker
Peter Harry Lewis Croker (21 December 1921 – 7 December 2011) was an English footballer, who played as a full-back in the Football League for Charlton Athletic and Watford and in non-league football for Bromley and Gravesend & Northfleet. Prior to his death, he was the last survivor from Charlton's 1947 FA Cup Final-winning team. He missed the 1946 FA Cup Final through injury. Coaching and administrative career Beginning in 1956, Croker served Charlton Athletic as youth team manager, scout and assistant manager. He also scouted for Blackpool and Sunderland and later became chairman of the South East Counties League. Personal life His great-nephew Eric Dier is also a professional footballer. Ted Croker
Edgar Alfred Croker (13 February 1924 – 25 December 1992) was an English football player and administrator. He was Secretary of the Football Association from 1973 to 1989. Life and career Born in Kingston-upon-Thames in 1924, Croker joined the RAF as a pilot in 1942. He sustained injuries in a crash which hampered his later football career. In the late 1940s and 1950s he played as a defender for Charlton Athletic, Dartford, Headington United (later Oxford United) and Kidderminster Harriers. He lived in Cheltenham in the 1950s, where he founded the heavy machinery company Liner-Croker Ltd. The company, specializing in earth-moving equipment, grew successfully throughout the 1960s. Jeremy Dier (born 30 May 1960) is a British former professional tennis player. He is the father of footballer Eric Dier. Born in Brighton, Dier competed on the professional tour from the late 1970s to early 1980s, reaching a best singles world ranking of 344.
