Ercan Akbay (born 12 February 1959 in Istanbul, Turkey) is a Turkish writer, painter, and musician. After studying finance at university, he has worked in many different sectors in his life; he now devotes his time to writing and painting. He has written two novels and one collection of stories. He also regularly exhibits his paintings and has released two albums of music. Biography As a young man, Akbay read widely, admired contemporary Latin and Anglo-Saxon singer-songwriters, and started composing his own poetry accompanied by guitar, which he taught himself to play. He describes his music, painting and writing as an expression of his experiences and his inner life. Ercan International Airport is the primary civilian airport of the unrecognised '' de facto'' state of Northern Cyprus. It is located about east of Nicosia, near the village of Tymbou. The airport only serves flights to and from Turkey. Şeyma Ercan (born 5 July 1994 in Ankara, Turkey) is a Turkish volleyball player who plays for Türk Hava Yolları. She is tall at and plays in the wing spiker position. Şeyma began playing volleyball in 2005 at Gazi University's Sport Club in her hometown. She was encouraged by coach Elif Öz. She is a member of the Turkey women's youth national volleyball team, and wears number 5. Ercan Aktuna (1 January 1940 – 20 September 2013) was a Turkish footballer who played as a defender for Fenerbahçe and İstanbulspor.
