Equestrian At The 2024 Summer Olympics – Team Dressage
The team dressage event at the 2024 Summer Olympics took place from 30 July to 3 August 2024 at the Palace of Versailles. Like all other equestrian events, the dressage competition is open-gender, with both male and female athletes competing in the same division. 60 riders from 30 nations are expected to compete. In total 15 (fifteen) countries competed in the Grand Prix with a team. Competition format The competition format has remained the same as in Tokyo. There are only 3 team members instead of 4, with no dropped score. The two rounds of the competition are the Grand Prix and the Grand Prix Special. * Grand Prix: All 15 teams compete in the Grand Prix. The top 10 teams, based on the aggregate score of the team's 3 riders, advance to the final round. Pauline Basquin
Pauline Basquin (born 9 December 1978) is a French Dressage rider. She competed at the 2022 FEI World Championships in Herning and at the 2023 FEI European Dressage Championships, finishing 13th in the finals. Basquin was also part of the winning team at the FEI Nations Cup Dressage in Rotterdam in 2023, which was eventually the first Nations Cup victory in dressage for the French team. Alexandre Ayache
Alexandre Ayache (born 20 September 1982 in Nice) is a French dressage rider. He represented France at the 2014 World Equestrian Games in Normandy where he finished 11th in team dressage and 62nd in the individual dressage competition. Ayache was the traveling reserve for the French Olympic team during the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. In 2021 he represented the French team at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, finishing 34th with his horse Zo What in the individual competition and 9th with the team. Corentin Pottier
Corentin Pottier (born September 22, 1993, in Rueil-Malmaison, France) is a French dressage rider. Pottier was part of the French dressage team at four European Championships from 2013 til 2016 in the Young Riders and U25 division. In 2018 his mount Gotilas Du Feuillard won the French Dressage Championships for 7-year olds in Le Mans, France. In 2021, he and Gotilas Du Feuillard were named to the long list of prospective riders to represent France at the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris. In 2023 Pottier was part of the French team which won the Nations Cup Dressage in Rotterdam for the first time in history of French dressage. Later that year, he was left off of the French team for the 2023 European Dressage Championships in Riesenbeck, in a decision that was considered "surprising" considering his scores as a member of the French Nations Cup team. Therese Nilshagen (born 24 January 1983) is a Swedish dressage rider. At the European Championships in Gothenburg 2017, she won team silver and at the Rotterdam 2019, she won team bronze, both with the black stallion Dante Weltino OLD. Patrik Kittel (born 10 June 1976) is a Swedish dressage rider. He was born in Stockholm. He competed at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where he placed fourth in team dressage. Minderhoud won the VSN Cup in 2004 with his horse Gameboy and also succeeded in the Pavo Cup with Sandreo and Florencio.
