Real Club De Polo De Barcelona
Real Club de Polo de Barcelona () is a country club in Barcelona, Spain. Established in 1897, it had 9000 members at the time of the 1992 Summer Olympics. Normally used for polo, field hockey, tennis, squash, and swimming by its members. the club was the venue for the Olympic equestrian competition (dressage, jumping, and the eventing finals) and the riding portion of the modern pentathlon events. History The Real Club de Polo de Barcelona was founded in 1897 by a man named Enrique de Iberdrola. De Iberdrola had visited London, United Kingdom and discovered Polo. He returned to Spain and with a few friends, founded the Polo Jockey Club. In 1899, they played the first inter-club polo match in Spain against the Madrid Polo Club. After this, the club started to branch out to run other sports such as show jumping, tennis, field hockey and paddle tennis. Anne Grethe Jensen
Anne Grethe Jensen (born November 7, 1951 in Vejlø, Denmark) is a Danish equestrian. She won a silver medal in individual dressage at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles on the horse ''Marzog''. She is also a one-time World Champion and one-time European Champion in individual dressage. Reiner Klimke took the gold medals at that occasion. Two years after she won the World Championship. Anne Van Olst
Anne van Olst (born 25 March 1962 in Aalborg, Nordjylland), also known as Anne Koch Jensen, is a Danish dressage rider. She was part of the Bronze winning Danish team at the Olympic games in Beijing 2008 and finished 23rd in the individual dressage at the 2012 Summer Olympics, riding Clearwater. In 1991 Anne married to the Dutch breeder and horse dealer Gert-Jan van Olst and moved to The Netherlands. Together they run a sport and breeding stable in Den Hout, Netherlands.
