Enrique Martínez (July 25, 1887 – February 20, 1938) was an Argentine lawyer and politician, governor of Córdoba Province Argentine Vice President during the second Hipólito Yrigoyen administration. Biography Martinez was born in Córdoba, and studied there until 1900, when he started his military service. He later studied law at the National University of Córdoba, receiving a degree in 1911. Martinez was elected to the Argentine Chamber of Deputies in 1917 to fill the seat vacated by Vice President Elpidio González. He was elected Governor of Córdoba in December 1927, with José Antonio Ceballos as Vice-Governor, and took office on May 17, 1928. The death, on July 22, of Vice President-elect Francisco Beiró, prompted President-elect Hipólito Yrigoyen to ask Martínez to take the late Francisco Beiró's place, and on October 12, 1928, he was inaugurated Vice President of Argentina. Enrique Martinez y Martinez (born 10 November 1948 in Saltillo) is a Mexicans, Mexican politician affiliated with the Revolutionary Institutional Party. He has served as Mexico's Ambassador to Cuba since 2016. He previously served as Governor of Coahuila from 2 December 1999 to 17 February 2005. Enrique González Martínez (April 13, 1871 in Guadalajara, Jalisco – February 19, 1952 in Mexico City) was a Mexican poet, diplomat, surgeon and obstetrician. His poetry is considered to be primarily Modernist in nature, with elements of French symbolism. Life Martínez received his early education at home. At the age of 10 he entered preparatory school, the Council Seminary, and the Liceo de Varones (Men's Grammar School) of the State of Jalisco. In 1893 Martínez received his doctorate degree in Guadalajara. During that same year he published a few verses in newspapers and magazines. Soon after receiving his degree, he was named adjunct professor of physiology at the School of Medicine. After two years of professional practice, he left his native city to go to Culiacán, Sinaloa.
