''Engane Nee Marakkum'' () is a 1983 Indian Malayalam-language romantic drama film produced and directed by M. Mani and written by Priyadarshan. It stars Shankar (actor), Shankar, Mohanlal and Menaka (actress), Menaka. The film features songs and score composed by Shyam (composer), Shyam. Priyadarshan
Priyadarshan Soman Nair (born 30 January 1957) is an Indian film director and screenwriter. He has worked primarily in Malayalam cinema, Malayalam and Hindi cinema, Hindi cinema since 1982, directing over 90 films in multiple Indian languages, with notable works in Tamil language, Tamil and Telugu language, Telugu. He has received several accolades, including three National Film Awards, multiple Kerala State Film Awards, and the Padma Shri in 2012. Most of his Hindi films are remakes of Malayalam films, some of which Priyadarshan helmed both versions. Career Priyadarshan began his cinematic journey in the early 1980s, primarily working in Malayalam cinema.
