Emre Ünver
Emre Ünver (born 19 November 1981) is a Dutch politician. He was a member of the House of Representatives for the Labour Party from 14 December 2016 until 15 February 2017, replacing Sjoera Dikkers. Ünver was a member of the municipal council of Amsterdam from 11 March 2006 until 2018 and served as party vice-councilchairman. Since May 2018 he has been President of the board of the borough of Amsterdam Nieuw-West. The Labour Party ( , PvdA or P van de A ) is a social democratic political party in the Netherlands. The party was founded in 1946 as a merger of the Social Democratic Workers' Party, the Free-thinking Democratic League and the Christian Democratic Union. Prime Ministers from the Labour Party have been Willem Drees (1948–1958), Joop den Uyl (1973–1977) and Wim Kok (1994–2002). Sjoerdtje Willemien (Sjoera) Dikkers (born 14 July 1969 in Deventer) is a Dutch former politician and activist. As a member of the Labour Party (Partij van de Arbeid) she was an MP between 17 June 2010 and 23 March 2017. She focused on matters of development aid and commercial policy. Amsterdam Nieuw-West () is a Boroughs of Amsterdam, borough (Dutch language, Dutch: ''Urban districts of the Netherlands, stadsdeel'') comprising the westernmost neighbourhoods of the city of Amsterdam, Netherlands. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan (born 26 February 1954) is a Turkish politician who is the 12th and current president of Turkey since 2014. ''Het Parool'' () is an Amsterdam-based daily newspaper. It was first published on 10 February 1941 as a resistance paper during the German occupation of the Netherlands (1940–1945). In English, its name means ''The Password'' or ''The Motto''. History Second World War The paper was preceded by a stenciled newsletter which was started in May 1940 by Frans Goedhart. In late 1940, Wim van Norden joined the group of producers of the newsletter; Van Norden would later serve as director of the newspaper between 1945 and 1979. Jaap Nunes Vaz also became involved with the newspaper. In 1944, the paper, albeit illegal and vigorously persecuted, reached a circulation of approximately 100,000, and it was distributed by the Dutch resistance.
