Emma Mackey
Emma Margaret Marie Tachard-Mackey (born ) is a British and French actress. Her breakthrough performance in the Netflix comedy-drama series ''Sex Education'' (2019–2023) earned her a British Academy Television Award nomination. Mackey has since starred in the mystery film ''Death on the Nile'' (2022) and portrayed Emily Brontë in the drama film ''Emily'' (2022). She won the BAFTA Rising Star Award in 2023. Early life and education Tachard-Mackey was born in Le Mans, the daughter of a French father and an English mother. Her father is a school headmaster. She grew up in Sablé-sur-Sarthe, and received her in 2013 with High Honours in l'académie de Nantes, a French school district, subsequently moving to England to study English language and literature at the University of Leeds. Sablé-sur-Sarthe
Sablé-sur-Sarthe (, literally ''Sablé on Sarthe''), commonly referred to as Sablé, is a commune in the Sarthe department, in the Pays de la Loire region, western France. It is about 40 km southwest of Le Mans and about 50 km northeast of Angers. Population Geography The Vaige forms part of the commune's north-western border, flows southwards through the middle of the commune, then flows into the Sarthe River in the town of Sablé-sur-Sarthe.
