Emma Carlsson Löfdahl
Emma Maria Carlsson Löfdahl, formerly Emma Löfdahl Landberg (born Andersson on 26 September 1970), is a former member of the Riksdag (MP) from the Jönköping County constituency. Formerly a member of the Liberals (L), she has been an independent politician since March 2019. In 2021, she announced that she would leave the Riksdag effective 1 August 2021. She was succeeded by Liberal MP Jakob Olofsgård. The Riksdag ( , ; also or , ) is the parliament and the parliamentary sovereignty, supreme decision-making body of the Kingdom of Sweden. Since 1971, the Riksdag has been a unicameral parliament with 349 members (), elected proportional representation, proportionally and serving, since 1994, fixed four-year terms. Jönköping County (Riksdag Constituency)
Jönköping County () is one of the 29 multi-member constituencies of the Riksdag, the national legislature of Sweden. The constituency was established in 1970 when the Riksdag changed from a bicameral legislature to a unicameral legislature. It is conterminous with the county of Jönköping. The constituency currently elects 11 of the 349 members of the Riksdag using the open party-list proportional representation electoral system. At the 2022 general election it had 271,666 registered electors. The Liberals (, L), formerly known as the Liberal People's Party () until 22 November 2015, is a conservative-liberal political party in Sweden. The Liberals ideologically have shown a broad variety of liberal tendencies. Currently they are seen as following economic liberalism and have been described as being centre-right. The party is a member of the Liberal International and Renew Europe. Historically, the party was positioned in the centre of the Swedish political landscape, willing to cooperate with both the political left and the right. It has since the leadership of Lars Leijonborg and Jan Björklund in the 2000s positioned itself more towards the right.
