Emina Cunmulaj
Emina Cunmulaj (; born September 12, 1984) is an Albanian-American model. Early life Emina Cunmulaj was born in Farmington Hills, Michigan, United States to Albanians in Montenegro, Albanian parents from Podgorica, Montenegro. In 1988, she moved with her family to Montenegro (then part of SFR Yugoslavia, Yugoslavia) at the age of four. Career At the age of 15, Cunmulaj made it to the finals at a modeling competition and was later signed with Elite Model Management. In 2004, Cunmulaj became the face of Etro and Roberto Cavalli, Just Cavalli. Cunmulaj also made her debut in Paris for Yves Saint Laurent (designer), Yves Saint Laurent, Viktor & Rolf and Dries Van Noten. Emina Jahović
Emina Jahović (, ; born 15 January 1982) is a Serbian-Turkish singer-songwriter, actress and businesswoman of Bosniak origin. Born and raised in Novi Pazar, she made her recording debut in 2002 and has released six studio albums: ''Tačka'' (2002), ''Radije ranije'' (2005), '' Vila'' (2009), ''Metamorfoza'' (2014), ''Dalje'' (2018) and ''Svitanje'' (2025). Outside her singing career, Jahović starred as Lale Taşkıran Ilgaz in the television series '' Lale Devri'', between 2010 and 2014. "Emina" () is a poem by Bosnian Serb poet Aleksa Šantić that became a popular ''sevdalinka'' song, covered by many prominent singers from Bosnia and Herzegovina and other parts of former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, Yugoslavia. It was first published in 1902 in the Serbian literary journal ''Kolo (Serbian journal), Kolo''. The subject of the poem is Šantić's neighbor, a Bosnian Muslim girl named Emina Sefić. It is one of the most well-known ''sevdalinka'' songs of all time. Main character Emina Sefić (later Koluder; 1884–1967) was born to a Bosnian Muslim family in the city of Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Her father was a prominent imam and the family lived in the Mostar's Old town near the Stari Most bridge. The family's household was next door to that of a sister of poet Aleksa Šantić. Emina Zečaj
Emina Zečaj (''née'' Ahmedhodžić; 17 March 1929 – 19 April 2020) was a Bosnian interpreter of the traditional folk music, sevdalinka. Zečaj was called an "icon of traditional Bosnian music" by American ''Billboard'' magazine in 2004. Early life Emina was born in Sarajevo's Old Town, in what is today Bosnia and Herzegovina on 17 March 1929. She was the daughter of Avdija Ahmedhodžić and his wife Melća. Career Professor Cvjetko Rihtman, an ethnomusicologist, discovered her in the early 1960s. Following persuasion from her friends, Emina auditioned before two well-known professors, Zvonimir Nevžela and Beluš Jungić, with the folk songs ''Kad se jangin iz sokaka pomoli'' and ''Poranila na vodicu Zlata''. Ten days later she received a phone call from Ismet Alajbegović Šerbo informing her that she had been accepted into Radio Sarajevo, beating out 30 other contestants.
