Deathstars is a Swedish industrial metal band from Strömstad. Formed in 2000, the group are noted for their dark horror-themed lyrics, pessimistic and misanthropic social commentary, distinctive trademark face paint, dark stage uniforms and physical appearances that correspond to gothic fashion. Strömstad is a Urban areas in Sweden, locality and the seat of Strömstad Municipality, Västra Götaland County, Sweden with 6,288 inhabitants in 2010. ''Night Electric Night'' is the third album by Swedish metal band Deathstars. It was released on 30 January 2009 by Nuclear Blast. The album was initially recorded under the working title ''Deathglam''. At the Gates is a Swedish melodic death metal band from Gothenburg, formed in 1990. The band was a major progenitor of Gothenburg-style melodic death metal alongside In Flames and Dark Tranquillity. Adrian Paul Erlandsson (born 27 October 1970) is a Swedish Heavy metal music, heavy metal drummer who is a member of At the Gates (1990–present), The Haunted (Swedish band), The Haunted (1996–1999, 2013–present), and Nemhain (2006–present). Dissection (band)
Dissection was a Swedish extreme metal band from Strömstad, formed in 1989 by guitarist, vocalist, and main songwriter Jon Nödtveidt and bassist Peter Palmdahl. Despite several lineup changes, Dissection released ''The Somberlain'' in 1993 and ''Storm of the Light's Bane'' in 1995 before splitting up in 1997 due to Nödtveidt's imprisonment for complicity in the Keillers Park murder, murder of Josef Meddour. After his release, Nödtveidt reformed the band in 2004 with new members whom he felt could "stand behind and live up to the demands of Dissection's Satanism, Satanic concept." They released their third and final full-length album, ''Reinkaos'', in April 2006 before disbanding that June. Nödtveidt said he had "reached the limitations of music as a tool for expressing what I want to express, for myself and the handful of others that I care about."
