The Embassy of Kosovo in Washington, D.C. is the main diplomatic mission of Kosovo to the United States. The embassy is currently located at 3612 Massachusetts Avenue, NW, Washington, D.C. The embassy was established in October 2008.The first chancery was in Georgetown, and then at 2175 K Street, NW Suite 300 until moving to the present location in May 2023. The current ambassador is Ilir Dugolli, who is the highest-ranking representative of Kosovo to the U.S. government. Coat Of Arms Of Kosovo
The Seal of the Republic of Kosovo was introduced following the declaration of independence on 17 February 2008. It shows six white stars in an arc above a solid golden shape of Kosovo as seen on a standard projection map, placed on a rounded triangular shield with a blue field and a golden border. Its central figures, the stars and the shape, are also the content of the new blue flag of Kosovo, adopted at the same time. A golden map of Kosovo on a blue field surmounted by stars were also featured on the emblem used when Kosovo was administered by the United Nations. Serbia has not recognized the independence of Kosovo and continues to claim it as the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija. Isa Mustafa
Isa Mustafa (; born 15 May 1951) is a retired Kosovar politician. Mustafa was the mayor of Pristina from December 2007 to December 2013 and served as the prime minister of Kosovo between December 2014 and September 2017. He was the leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) between 2010 and 2021. Early life Mustafa was born in the village of Prapashtica, in the Gollak Highlands of the District of Pristina, Kosovo on 15 May 1951, to Kosovo Albanian parents. He and his family speak Albanian in the Gheg dialect of the language. He finished primary and high school in Pristina, and attended the University of Pristina in the Faculty of Economics, where he obtained a master's degree and a PhD. The Government of Kosovo (, ) exercises executive authority in the Republic of Kosovo. It is composed of government ministers, and is led by the prime minister. The prime minister is elected by the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo. Ministers are nominated by the prime minister and then confirmed by the assembly. Albin Kurti is the current prime minister of Kosovo. His government, approved by the assembly and installed on March 22, 2021, consists of Albanians, as well as ministers from Kosovo's ethnic minorities, which include Bosniaks, Romani, Turks and Serbs. Although the government includes representatives of ethnic minorities, it is dominated by the Albanian majority, who have most influence on the decision-making. Albin Kurti
Albin Kurti (; born 24March 1975) is a Kosovo Albanians, Kosovo Albanian politician who has been serving as Prime Minister of Kosovo since 2021, having previously held the office from February to June 2020. He came to prominence in 1997 as the vice-president of the University of Pristina (1969–99), University of Pristina student union, and a main organizer of non-violent student demonstrations of 1997 and 1998. Kurti then worked in Adem Demaçi's office when the latter became the political representative of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA). Avdullah Hoti (born 4 February 1976) is a Kosovan politician, who served as the Prime Minister of Kosovo from 3 June 2020 until 22 March 2021. He previously served as the minister of Finance of Kosovo between 2014 and 2017 in the PDK/ LDK coalition government. In September 2020, Hoti signed the agreement on normalisation of economic relations with Serbia and accession to the Mini Schengen Zone, as well as on mutual recognition between Kosovo and Israel and the establishment of diplomatic relations.
