The Embassy of China in Belgrade（ ; ）is the official diplomatic mission of People's Republic of China to the Serbia. The embassy was opened in 1955, and the current ambassador is :zh:李明 (1974年), Ming Li. History Establishment of relations The history of the Chinese embassy in Serbia can be traced back to the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Yugoslavia in 1955, when embassies were established in Belgrade and Beijing, and both sides exchanged ambassadors. The Chinese side appointed Wu Xiuquan, the Deputy Foreign Minister at the time, to be the ambassador to Yugoslavia. On April 13, 1955, :zh:周秋野, Qiuye Zhou, adviser for state affairs at the Embassy, came to Yugoslavia to prepare for the opening of the embassy. List Of Diplomatic Missions Of China
This is a list of diplomatic missions of the People's Republic of China (PRC). The PRC has the largest number of active diplomatic posts in the world, including 274 bilateral posts (embassies and consulates) in 176 countries as well as 8 permanent missions to international organizations and two other posts (as of November 2023). For over fifty years, the PRC has been competing with the Republic of China (ROC) for diplomatic recognition in the international community. Until the 1970s, most countries in the world recognized the ROC over the PRC. As of 2018, a small number of states have full diplomatic relations with the ROC (see Republic of China diplomatic missions); the ROC maintains unofficial relations with most states. China–Yugoslavia relations were historical foreign relations between China and now split-up Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. For a long period during the Cold War China was critical towards perceived excessive liberalism, too close cooperation with Western Bloc or market socialism of Yugoslavia, therefore the Chinese communists accused the Yugoslav communists of being revisionists, while the Yugoslav communists accused the Chinese communists of being dogmatics. But, the good relations between both socialist states were restored at the end of the 1960s, and improved even more since the Sino-Albanian rupture occurred (the good relations that existed between China and Albania were frozen since 1972 and were definitively canceled in 1978, the cause of said rupture was that the Chinese communists began to be considered as revisionists by the Albanian communists), with the trend of improved relations continuing in relations with successor states, particularly Serbia. The Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPCSC) is the permanent body of the National People's Congress (NPC), the national legislature of the People's Republic of China. It exercises the powers of the NPC when it is not in session. The NPCSC is composed of a chairman, vice chairpersons, a secretary-general, and regular members, all of whom are elected by regular NPC sessions. The day-to-day operations of the Standing Committee are handled by the Council of Chairpersons, which is composed of the chairman, vice chairpersons, and the secretary-general. Wu Bangguo (22 July 1941 – 8 October 2024) was a Chinese politician who served as the second-ranking member of the Politburo Standing Committee of the Chinese Communist Party from 2002 to 2012, and as Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress from 2003 to 2013. Wu was an electrical engineer by profession, and rose to political prominence during his work in Shanghai. During the early 1980s, he was in charge of science and technology related work in Shanghai, where he worked with Jiang Zemin, then mayor and later Party Secretary of Shanghai, Party secretary of the city, leading Wu to be affiliated with Shanghai clique, Jiang's political faction.
