Elnesvågen is the administrative centre of Hustadvika Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The village is located along the Frænafjorden about north of the town of Molde (town), Molde, east of the village of Tornes, and northwest of the villages of Malme and Sylte, Hustadvika, Sylte. The village has a population (2024) of 2,741 and a population density of . The area is predominantly an agriculture, agricultural area; however, there are also several factories including Moxy Engineering (which produces trucks), the Hustadmarmor marble factory (which produces calcium products for European paper producers), and the Tine (company), Tine cheese factory (which is the largest producer of Jarlsberg cheese with exports to the UK, USA, Canada, Germany, and Australia). Myrbostad Church
Myrbostad Church () is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Hustadvika Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is located on the east side of the village of Elnesvågen at the inner end of the Frænfjorden. It is one of the two churches for the ''Vågøy og Myrbostad'' parish which is part of the Molde domprosti (arch-deanery) in the Diocese of Møre. The white, wooden church was built in a long church design in 1880 using plans drawn up by the Christiania-based architect Johannes Henrik Nissen. The church seats about 400 people. History The people of Elnesvågen historically attended the Vågøy Church which was located about away by boat or nearly away by road. In the 1870s, plans were made to build a church near Elnesvågen so the people would be much closer to their church. Moxy Engineering
Moxy Engineering is a Norwegian manufacturer of articulated haulers (dump trucks) for off-road use in the earth moving and construction industries. Moxy was founded by the industrialist Birger Hatlebakk, who had previously founded the Glamox factory in Molde Municipality. History Moxy built the first prototype dump truck in 1970. The first model was a heavy duty dump truck drawn by a powerful tractor with rear wheels driven by hydraulic motors. The next version, an articulated dump truck driven by a Scania diesel engine, D20, was also finished in 1970. The first prototypes were built in Molde Municipality, but then the company moved to Varhol by Elnesvågen in Fræna Municipality, where a new factory was built.
