Mario Soffici (14 May 1900 – 10 May 1977) was an Italian-born Argentina, Argentine film director, actor and screenwriter notable for his work during the Golden Age of Argentine cinema. Biography Mario Soffici was born in Florence, Florence, Italy and moved to Argentina at the age of nine. He began acting in 1931 and made his directorial debut in 1935 on the film ''El Alma de Bandoneón'', working with popular actors of the period such as Libertad Lamarque in Argentine Tango, tango-based musical films. He directed some 40 films between 1935 and 1962, including ''Prisioneros de la tierra'' (1939) (historically considered one of the The 100 Greatest Films of Argentine Cinema, greatest in Argentine cinema), ''El Curandero'' (1955), ''El hombre que debía una muerte'' (1955) and ''Rosaura a las 10'' (1958). Olga Zubarry (30 October 1929 – 15 December 2012) was an Argentine actress who appeared in film between 1943 and 1997. She made over 60 appearances in film, spanning six decades of Argentine cinema, but is best known for her work during the Golden Age of Argentine cinema. Throughout the course of her career, she received four Silver Condor Awards, two Martín Fierro Awards, a Konex Foundation Award and several others for her films and television performances. She is credited with starring in the first film in Argentina which featured nudity, though only her back was shown and she stated repeatedly that she wore a flesh-colored mesh and was not truly nude.
