Ellen Gunilla Hillingsø (born 9 March 1967) is a Danish actress who is known primarily for her work in films. She is also a voice actress, narrating audio books. Early life Ellen Gunilla Hillingsø was born on 9 March 1967 in Copenhagen to Kjeld Georg Hilligsøe Hillingsø, then a lieutenant in the Danish Royal Life Guards, and Ellen Birgitta Hillingsø (née Juel), an antiques dealer. Hillingsø's maternal grandfather was Gregers Juel, a chamberlain and a Knight (1st Class) of the Order of the Dannebrog. Her paternal uncle was Lars Hillingsø, a fashion designer and founder of the ''Lars Paris'' brand. Hillingsø has one sibling, Jens Georg, who is three years older. Søren Kragh-Jacobsen (; born 2 March 1947, in Copenhagen) is a Danish film director, musician, and songwriter. He was one of the founders and practitioners of the Dogme95 project, for creating films without artificial technology or techniques. Nuuk
Nuuk (; da, Nuuk, formerly ) is the capital and largest city of Greenland, a constituent country of the Kingdom of Denmark. Nuuk is the seat of government and the country's largest cultural and economic centre. The major cities from other countries closest to the capital are Iqaluit and St. John's in Canada and Reykjavík in Iceland. Nuuk contains a third of Greenland's population and its tallest building. Katuaq Culture Centre
Katuaq ( da, Grønlands Kulturhus) is a cultural centre in Nuuk, Greenland. It is used for concerts, Art exhibition, exhibitions, conferences, and as a Film, cinema. Designed by Schmidt hammer lassen, Schmidt Hammer Lassen, it was constructed as a joint project of the Greenland Home Rule Government, the Nuuk Municipal Council and the Nordic Council of Ministers and was inaugurated on 15 February 1997. Building Katuaq is an L-shaped building with an undulating, backward-leaning screen facing onto Nuuk's central urban space. It is raised above the ground and clad in golden larch wood on both the inside and outside. The screen is inspired by the Aurora (astronomy), northern lights. ''Eksperimentet'' ( en, The Experiment) is a 2010 Danish drama film written and directed by Louise Friedberg, and starring Ellen Hillingsø. The film premiered on 28 August 2010 in the Katuaq Culture Centre in Nuuk, the capital of Greenland. The release date of the film in Denmark was 9 September 2010. Background The film deals with the Little Danes experiment, a 1950s social experiment and the problem of cultural genocide in Greenland. In 1951 the Danish colonial authorities removed 22 Greenlandic Inuit children (9 girls and 13 boys), with dubious consent from their parents or guardians, from their homes, relocating them to Denmark for adoption and education. ''Anna Pihl'' is a Danish language, Danish police procedural, police drama produced by TV 2 (Denmark), TV2.
