Elizabeth Herbert, Dowager Marchioness of Powis (c.1634 – 16 March 1691), formerly Lady Elizabeth Somerset, was an English court official and noblewoman, the wife of William Herbert, 1st Marquess of Powis. She was the daughter of Edward Somerset, 2nd Marquess of Worcester, and his wife, the former Elizabeth Dormer. Family She married William Herbert, then the heir to Percy Herbert, 2nd Baron Powis, on 2 August 1654. He succeeded his father to the title in 1666. Elizabeth Somerset, Baroness Herbert
Elizabeth Herbert, 3rd Baroness Herbert (c. 1476 – 27 August 1507) was the sole heir and daughter of William Herbert, 2nd Earl of Pembroke, and his first wife, Mary Woodville. Her father died on 16 July 1491, and she inherited extensive lands in Wales. As her father had no sons, she succeeded to his barony, but could not succeed to the earldom, which was restricted to the male line. She was made a ward of King Henry VII of England, and married Charles Somerset, 1st Earl of Worcester on 2 June 1492. Their only son, Henry, was born in around 1496. In 1504, Somerset was created Baron Herbert. Elizabeth Somerset, Countess of Worcester ( Browne; 1502–1565) was a lady-in-waiting to Anne Boleyn and the main informant against her. She may have been a mistress of King Henry VIII. Early life Elizabeth was the daughter of Sir Anthony Browne, a trusted courtier at the court of Henry VIII, and his wife, Lucy, a daughter of John Neville, 1st Marquess of Montagu and Isobel Ingaldesthorpe. She was also the half sister of Sir William Fitzwilliam, 1st Earl of Southampton, treasurer of the household and a man who later became very active in the Boleyn inquiries led by her accusations against Queen Anne. In her mother's will, dated 1531, Elizabeth was left a pair of "bedys of gold with tenne gawdies." About 1508, Elizabeth's sister, Anne Browne, married Sir Charles Brandon, later Duke of Suffolk. Elizabeth Somerset, Countess of Worcester (''née'' Lady Elizabeth Hastings; 1546 – 24 August 1621) was a Scottish-born noblewoman. She was the daughter of Francis Hastings, 2nd Earl of Huntingdon, and Catherine Pole.
