Elimination Chamber (2017)
The 2017 Elimination Chamber (known as No Escape in Germany) was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) and livestreaming List of WWE pay-per-view and livestreaming supercards, event produced by WWE. It was the seventh WWE Elimination Chamber, Elimination Chamber and took place on February 12, 2017, at the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, Arizona, held exclusively for wrestlers from the promotion's SmackDown (WWE brand), SmackDown WWE brand extension, brand division. It was the first Elimination Chamber event to be held since Elimination Chamber (2015), 2015 and was WWE's first pay-per-view to feature three women's matches on the main card. The event also saw the debut of a new Elimination Chamber structure that is the one now currently used in WWE. Eight matches were contested at the event, including one on the Kickoff pre-show. The WWE Tag Team Championship is a men's professional wrestling world tag team championship created and promoted by the American promotion WWE, defended on the SmackDown brand division. It is one of two male tag team championships for WWE's main roster, along with the World Tag Team Championship on Raw. American Alpha was a professional wrestling tag team, composed of former amateur wrestlers Jason Jordan and Chad Gable. The team performed on WWE's developmental brand NXT before being moved up to the main roster on the SmackDown brand.
