Elias Hossain
Elias Hossain is a retired Bangladeshi footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. He played for the Bangladesh national team from 1983 to 1989. He also captained the national team during the 1989 South Asian Games. Elias is also the only player from Gopalganj to play for the Bangladesh national team. He is currently working as an executive director for the Bangladesh Football Federation. Club career In 1977, the Jubilee Rangers took on Friends Club, which was the Gopalganj First Division title deciding match. Elias Hossain played as a substitute for Jubilee Rangers in that match. Many star footballers of Dhaka including Kazi Salahuddin and Ashrafuddin Ahmed Chunnu came to Gopalganj to play the match as, Jubilee Rangers lost 2–1 to Friends Club that day. Rezaul Karim Rehan
Rezaul Karim Rehan (; born 6 September 1968) is a retired Bangladeshi footballer who played as a defender for the Bangladesh national team from 1989 to 1993. Club career Rehan was trained in the AMCA Academy in Golapganj Upazila of Sylhet. He eventually played in the Sylhet First Division Football League with Agragami Club. He impressed coach Shamsuzzoha Chad during an under-19 camp held in Sylhet. Nurul Haque Manik
Nurul Haque Manik (25 June 1964 – 14 June 2020) was a Bangladeshi footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. He was a prominent figure in the Bangladesh national team between 1989 and 1997. He spent most of his club career playing for domestic giants Mohammedan Sporting Club and Brothers Union. Early life Mohammad Nurul Haque Manik was born in Matlab Uttar Upazila, Chandpur, Bangladesh and spent his childhood there. His father, AKM Mozammel Haque, was an accountant in the Public Works Department. Manik moved to Dhaka with his family due to his father's job and it was through him that Manik became involved with football. Ashraf Uddin Ahmed Chunnu
Ashraf Uddin Ahmed Chunnu (; born 1 August 1956) is a Bangladeshi former professional footballer who played for the Bangladesh national team for 10 years between 1975 and 1985. The left-winger represented Bangladesh in 50 international matches in which he scored 17 official goals during his 10-year long national career. Career Chunnu started his football career with Dilkusha (first division) in 1973. He played for Abahani Krira Chakra from 1975 to 1988 after playing for Rahmatganj Muslim Friends Society in 1974, besides wearing the national team jersey.
