Elias Ellefsen á Skipagøtu
Elias Ellefsen á Skipagøtu (born 19 May 2002) is a Faroe Islands, Faroese handball player for THW Kiel and the Faroe Islands men's national handball team, Faroese national team. He participated at the 2022 European Men's Under-20 Handball Championship, 2022 European Under-20 Championship and the 2023 Men's Junior World Handball Championship, 2023 Junior World Championship. He is the cousin of fellow handballers Óli Mittún, Oli and Jana Mittún. His brother, Rói Ellefsen á Skipagøtu, is also a handballer. THW Kiel is a professional handball club from Kiel, Germany. Joen Pauli Højgaard Ellefsen (20 April 1936 – 24 August 2012) was a Faroese politician and member of the Union Party. He was Prime Minister of the Faroe Islands from 1981 to 1985. Pauli Ellefsen was the eldest of eight children born to Sofia (née Højgaard) from Rituvík and Joen Elias Ellefsen from Miðvágur. He was the brother of former Parliament member Svend Aage Ellefsen, and brother-in-law of former parliament member Jóannes Dalsgaard. He was married to Henni Egholm (née Rasmussen). He and his wife lived in Hoyvík, near Tórshavn. Ellefsen worked as a fisherman from 1954 to 1956.
