El Águila
El Águila (Alejandro Montoya) is a character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by Mary Jo Duffy, Trevor Von Eeden, and Dave Cockrum, the character first appeared in ''Power Man and Iron Fist'' #58 (August 1979). El Águila belongs to the subspecies of humans called mutants who are born with superhuman abilities. He is a swordsman vigilante with the power of bio-electricity. He was originally an adversary of the superheroes Luke Cage and Iron Fist, but became their ally over time. Mary Jo Duffy (born February 9, 1954) is an American comic book editor and writer, known for her work for Marvel Comics in the 1980s and DC Comics and Image Comics in the 1990s. Biography A native of the New York City area, Duffy attended Wellesley College. As a young woman, she had letters published in Marvel Comics letter columns in the mid-1970s.
