El Valle, Choco
El Valle, Choco, is a beach town located in the Municipality of Bahía Solano, Chocó Department, Department of Chocó, on Colombia's Pacific Coast, some 150 km West of Medellín, and roughly 100 km South of the border with Panama. There is one road connecting El Valle with the town of Bahía Solano, 18 km or 40 minutes down a half paved jungle road. There is no road access to the area from the rest of Colombia. To reach the area it is necessary to take a plane from Medellín or Quibdó, or boat from Buenaventura, Valle del Cauca, Buenaventura or Panama. El Valle is a fishing village located at the mouth of the Rio Valle, forming a fertile breeding ground that results in abundant fishing and scuba diving opportunities. Chocó Department
Chocó Department () is a department of the Pacific region of Colombia known for hosting the largest Afro-Colombian population in the nation, and a large population of Amerindian and mixed African-Amerindian Colombians. It is in the west of the country, and is the only Colombian department to have coastlines on both the Pacific Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean. It contains all of Colombia's border with Panama. Its capital is Quibdó. Chocó has a diverse geography, unique ecosystems and unexploited natural resources; however, its population has one of the lowest standards of living of all departments in Colombia. Municipalities Of Colombia
The municipalities of Colombia are decentralized subdivisions of the Colombia, Republic of Colombia. Municipalities make up most of the departments of Colombia, with 1,104 municipality, municipalities (''municipios'').
