	El Salvador–Honduras Relations El Salvador and Honduras have long-standing bilateral and historical relations, owing to a shared history in the Spanish Empire. El Salvador has an embassy in Tegucigalpa and a consulates in Choluteca and San Pedro Sula. Honduras has an embassy in San Salvador. It is bordered on the northeast by Honduras, on the northwest by Guatemala, and on the south by the Pacific Ocean. El Salvador's capital and largest city is San Salvador.
