El Perchel (Málaga Metro)
El Perchel is an underground station serving Lines 1 and 2 of the Málaga Metro. The station opened on 30 July 2014, and until 2023 was the city centre terminus for both lines. Services At the metro's 2014 opening, El Perchel was a terminus station, and the only station serving both lines of the metro. Line 1 reaches Andalucia Tech, while Line 2 ends at Palacio de Deportes José María Martín Carpena. Entrances to El Perchel are located outside Málaga María Zambrano railway station, where AVE high-speed rail services, regional trains and local Cercanías Málaga, Cercanías trains to Fuengirola and Álora can be accessed. In 2023, El Perchel became a through-station when the extension further into the city centre opened, serving two underground stops at Guadalmedina (Málaga Metro), Guadalmedina and Atarazanas. Málaga María Zambrano Railway Station
Málaga María Zambrano railway station (Spanish: Málaga María Zambrano) is the principal railway station in the city Málaga in Andalusia, Spain on the Córdoba-Málaga high-speed rail line. It is served by high-speed trains to Madrid, Barcelona as well as the Cercanías Málaga and Málaga Metro systems. In 2017 the station served 6.1 million passengers, of which a million used Cercanías Málaga commuter services. It is named after María Zambrano, a Spanish philosopher. Layout Málaga María Zambrano contains twelve platforms, of which two are underground and exclusively used by Cercanías Málaga, which continue into the city centre to Málaga Centro-Alameda railway station. Álora
Álora is a town and municipality in southern Spain in the province of Málaga, in the autonomous community of Andalusia. Located c. 40 km from Málaga, on the right bank of the river Guadalhorce and on the Córdoba-Málaga railway, within the comarca of Valle del Guadalhorce. It is a typical pueblo blanco, a whitewashed village nestled between three rocky spurs topped by the ruins of the castle. The municipality covers an area of 169 km2 that covers a wide territory in which the large landforms of Málaga are located. The hills are occupied by cereal, olive and oak trees and orchards of fruit and vegetables that cover the valley floor. Its population is 13,436 inhabitants, according to the INE census of 2008.
