El Niño (film)
''El Niño'' () is a 2014 Spanish-French action thriller film directed by Daniel Monzón which stars Luis Tosar and Jesús Castro alongside Eduard Fernández, Sergi López, Bárbara Lennie, and Ian McShane. Plot The story is set in the Strait of Gibraltar. It tells the initiation of two youngsters in the world of drug trafficking. At the same time, two police agents, specialized in dismantling drug trafficking networks, are investigating this ring. Cast Production The film was produced by Telecinco Cinema, Ikiru Films and Vaca Films, alongside La Ferme! Productions, and in association with Maestranza Films. Daniel Monzón Jerez (born 1968) is a Spanish screenwriter and director. Biography He was born in Palma, Majorca in 1968. He started as a film critic, collaborating with the magazine ''Fotogramas''. He also featured alongside as reviewer in the TVE's film show ''Días de cine''. After taking part in the writing of the 1994 film ', he made his debut as feature film director with the film ''Heart of the Warrior''. He has since directed films such as ''Cell 211, Celda 211'', ''El Niño (film), El Niño'', ''The Kovak Box'', ''Yucatán (film), Yucatán'', and ''Outlaws (2021 film), Outlaws''.
