Biography Born in Buenos Aires, Piñeyro studied cinematography at the University of La Plata's School of Fine Arts. Born in Buenos Aires, Lecchi started working in Argentine cinema in 1979, as a second assistant director to Hugo Sofovich in the three films he directed that year.
