''Pussey!'' is a comics serial and graphic novel by Daniel Clowes. It was originally serialized across nine non-consecutive issues of Clowes's alternative comic book '' Eightball'', and was later collected by Fantagraphics Books. ''Pussey!'' tells the satirical story of a comic book artist named Dan Pussey, following him from his childhood years, through his successful career and into aged obscurity. Paul Chadwick (born 1957) is an American comic book creator best known for his series ''Concrete'', about a normal man trapped in a stone body. Biography Born in Seattle, Chadwick grew up in its suburb Medina, where his father, Stephen F. Chadwick, was the city attorney. As a teenager, he participated in Apa-5, the amateur press alliance of comics fans, and in 1979 graduated from the Art Center College of Design, where he had majored in illustration. Concrete (comics)
''Concrete'' is a comic book series created and written by Paul Chadwick and published by Dark Horse Comics. The character's first appearance is ''Dark Horse Presents'' #1 (July 1986). The eponymous central character is a normal man whose brain was transplanted into a large, stone body by aliens, and who lives an extraordinary life on Earth following his escape. The ''Concrete'' series focuses on realism. Apart from the aliens (which appear only in original series issue #3, in Concrete's recounting of his origin) and Concrete's own high-tech, artificial, stone body (which includes a host of attendant abilities), there are no supernatural or science fiction elements to any stories. David John Mazzucchelli (; born September 21, 1960) is an American comics artist and writer, known for his work on seminal superhero comic book storylines ''Born Again (comics), Daredevil: Born Again'' and ''Batman: Year One'', as well as for graphic novels in other genres, such as ''Asterios Polyp'' and ''City of Glass: The Graphic Novel''. ''Rubber Blanket'' was an alternative comics comics anthology, anthology magazine edited by the husband/wife team of cartoonist David Mazzucchelli and painter/colorist Richmond Lewis. It was self-publishing, self-published under the banner of Rubber Blanket Press in a deluxe, oversized format from 1991 to 1993 (three issues). While an anthology of different artists, ''Rubber Blanket'' is mostly a showcase for Mazzucchelli's work. In it, he largely turns his back on the superhero work that had made him a fan-favorite, and moved towards a personal storytelling style with bold and more expressionistic artwork.
