Eiríkur Önundarson
Eiríkur Sverrir Önundarson (born 19 September 1974) is an Icelandic former basketball player and a former member of the Icelandic men's national basketball team. He spent 19 of his 21 seasons with Íþróttafélag Reykjavíkur where he won the Icelandic Cup in 2001 and 2007. Playing career Eiríkur came up through the junior programs of Íþróttafélag Reykjavíkur. He played his first games with the senior team at the age of 17 during the 1991–1992 1. deild karla season. He appeared in 16 games during the season, averaging 10.1 points per game. In 1994, ÍR reached the 1. deild finals where the team faced Þór Akureyri. After losing the first game of the series, 105–82, he helped force game three by scoring 24 points in a 105–83 victory in game two. In the third and deciding game of the series, Þór secured a convincing 98–84 victory, winning the 1. deild championship and promotion to the Úrvalsdeild karla. Point Guard
The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the five positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position. Point guards are expected to run the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. Above all, the point guard must understand and accept their coach's game plan; in this way, the position can be compared to a quarterback in American football. They must also be able to adapt to what the defense is allowing and must control the pace of the game. A point guard specializes in certain skills, like other player positions in basketball. Herbert Arnarson
Herbert Svavar Arnarson (born May 4, 1970) is an Icelandic former basketball player and a former member of Icelandic national team. In 1995, he was the second player to be named both the Úrvalsdeild karla Domestic Player of the Year and the Young Player of the Year in the same season. In 1998 he helped Racing Antwerpen to the Belgian Basketball League finals where it lost to Spirou Charleroi. College After playing for Madisonville High School, Herbert joined Kentucky Wesleyan College where he became NCAA Division II champion in 1990.
