''Nazar-ul-Islam'' (1939 – 11 January 1994) was a Pakistani film director known for his movies like, '' Ehsaas''(1972), '' Sharafat'' (1974), '' Aina'', and ''Bandish''(1980). Early life ''Nazar-ul-Islam'' was born in Calcutta in 1939 and later migrated to East Pakistan (now Bangladesh). In 1971, after the separation of East Pakistan, he settled in Lahore, Pakistan. Career ''Nazar-ul-Islam'' started his career as a film editor in the 1960s in Dhaka. He directed his first Urdu movie, "Kajal" in 1965. His other notable Urdu movie in Dhaka was, "Piyasa"(1969). Mirza Nazir Baig (born 19 July 1941), best known by his screen name Nadeem (), is a Pakistani actor, singer, and producer. He has appeared in over two hundred films during his 56-year-long career.He has also been honored with the Pride of Performance award in 1997. He has also won a record 16 Nigar Awards as an actor. Early life Nadeem was born on 19 July 1941 in Vijayawada, which at the time was part of the Madras Presidency in British India. Nadeem migrated to Dhaka, East Pakistan along with his family after the independence of Pakistan, in 1947. The Nigar Awards () were presented in an annual award show to recognize outstanding achievement in Pakistani cinema, after having been revived in 2017 following a 15-year absence. The honors are awarded by Nigar Magazine founded in 1948. The Nigar Awards are Pakistan's version of the Academy Awards. The annual presentation ceremony features performances by prominent artists. The first Nigar Awards ceremony was held in 1957, to honor the accomplishments of Pakistani cinema for the year 1956. Masood Rana (), (6 August 1941 – 4 October 1995) was a Pakistani film playback singer. He began his singing career in 1962 with the film ''Inqalab'', became one of the top male singers in Urdu and Punjabi films for more than three decades and remained a busy singer until his death in 1995. Rana still holds the record for singing over 300 film songs each in Urdu and Punjabi, a record he shared with Ahmed Rushdi and Noor Jehan. Ahmed Rushdi (; 24 April 1934 – 11 April 1983) was a versatile Pakistani playback singer and was "an important contributor to the golden age of Pakistani film music".
