Ehrensvärd Grave
The Ehrensvärd grave is the final resting place and memorial of Augustin Ehrensvärd, the founder of the Suomenlinna island fortress in Helsinki, Finland, at the Linnanpiha yard on the island of Susisaari in Suomenlinna. Ehrensvärd was buried at the yard in 1783 but the memorial was only completed in its current form in 1805.Ehrensvärdin hauta

After Ehrensvärd's death in 1772 king Gustaf III of Sweden gave an order that he should be buried at the yard at the heart of the fortress of Sveaborg (later known in Finnish language, Finnish as Suomenlinna). Suomenlinna Ehrensvard Grave
Suomenlinna (), or Sveaborg (), is a Coastal defence and fortification, sea fortress composed of eight islands, of which six have been fortified. Located about 4 km southeast of the city center of Helsinki, the Capital (political), capital of Finland, Suomenlinna is a popular destination for both tourists and locals, who enjoy it as a picturesque picnic site. Construction of the fortress began in 1748 under the Sweden, Swedish Crown as a defense against Russian Empire, Russia. The general responsibility for the fortification work was given to Admiral Augustin Ehrensvärd. The original plan of the bastion fortress was heavily influenced by Sébastien Le Prestre de Vauban, Vauban, a renowned French military engineer, and incorporated the principles of the star fort style of fortifications, albeit adapted to a group of rocky islands.
