Eg White
Francis Anthony "Eg" White (born 22 November 1966) is a British musician, songwriter and producer. He started his career in the cowpunk band Yip Yip Coyote in the 1980s and then formed Brother Beyond with his brother, David White, in the late 1980s. In 1990, Eg White recorded the pop album '' 24 Years of Hunger'', and then in 1992 he produced the debut, self-titled album by Kinky Machine. He turned to songwriting in 1997, winning the Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically in 2004. In 2008 White worked with Adele on three tracks. In 2009 White was awarded his second Ivor Novello Award for 'Songwriter of the Year' and in 2010 he had a second UK number 1 with the Diana Vickers single "Once", a song he wrote with Cathy Dennis. White started his own record label in 2009. In 2024, White won his third Ivor Novello award. ''19'' is the debut studio album by the English singer-songwriter Adele, released on 28 January 2008 by XL Recordings. James Morrison Catchpole (born 13 August 1984) is an English singer, songwriter and guitarist. William Robert Young (born 20 January 1979) is an English singer, songwriter and actor. He came to prominence after winning the 2002 inaugural series of the ITV talent contest '' Pop Idol'', making him the first winner of the worldwide '' Idol'' franchise. His double A-sided debut single " Anything Is Possible" / "Evergreen" was released two weeks after the show's finale and became the fastest-selling debut single in the UK. "Leave Right Now" is a song by British singer Will Young. It was written by Eg White and produced by Stephen Lipson for Young's second studio album, '' Friday's Child'' (2003). A song about unrequited love, it was released as the album's first single, becoming another number-one hit on the Irish and the UK Singles Chart. White was awarded the Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically for "Leave Right Now" in 2004. Mark Abis is an English singer-songwriter and musician. His album ''Changing Inside'', produced by Eg White was released on 13 June 2005 on the Serpent label. Nick Drake's record producer Joe Boyd became interested in the album and reviewed it saying: 'Going back to the mid-Sixties, I have heard more than any one man's share of singer-songwriters. So it takes a lot to get my attention. His melodies are original, his vocals warm and distinctive, a real musical sensibility is obvious, with literary lyrics to boot. Love In The Time Of Science
''Love in the Time of Science'' is the third album by Icelandic singer-songwriter Emilíana Torrini. It was her first album to be released internationally (her earlier albums being released only in her native Iceland). The album was recorded and released in 1999, and was produced by Roland Orzabal and Alan Griffiths of Tears for Fears, who also wrote two tracks for the album. It was recorded and mixed at Orzabal's own studio, Neptune's Kitchen, with additional recording done in Spain and Iceland. Orzabal also played and performed backing vocals on the album. Other collaborators included Eg White, Jóhann Jóhannsson, Siggi Baldursson and Mark Abis. The title of the album is a variation of the 1985 Gabriel García Márquez novel ''Love in the Time of Cholera''.
