Eetu Mäkiniemi
Eetu Mäkiniemi (born 19 April 1999) is a Finnish professional ice hockey goaltender for HC TPS in the Liiga. He was drafted 104th overall by the Carolina Hurricanes in the fourth round of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft and has previously played in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the San Jose Sharks. Playing career Europe As a youth, Mäkiniemi played minor hockey for Kiekko-Vantaa before playing junior hockey for Jokerit. He represented Jokerit U20 in 2016–17 and 2017–18 for the Junior Club World Cup (JCWC). Mäkiniemi was transferred to Kiekko-Vantaa for the 2018–19 Mestis season, however, he was out for part of the season with a hip injury. In April 2019, Ilves signed Mäkiniemi to a two-year contract with a one-year extension option. On 28 December 2019, he made his Liiga debut in a 2–1 win against KooKoo. KooKoo (Liiga)
KooKoo is a Finnish ice hockey team playing in the first level of Finnish ice hockey league Liiga. KooKoo plays in the Lumon arena (capacity 5,950), in Kouvola. The team was established in 1965 and the previous name of the club is ''Kouvolan Kiekko-65''. Franchise history KooKoo was established by the Kouvolan Pallonlyöjät and Sudet in Kouvola on 3 November 1965. The first official match was played on November 17, 1965 when KooKoo won the Kuusankoski Puhti goals 4–2. Lane Pederson (born August 4, 1997) is a Canadian professional ice hockey forward for the Bakersfield Condors of the American Hockey League (AHL) while under contract to the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League (NHL). Brent Burns (born March 9, 1985) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman for the Carolina Hurricanes of the National Hockey League (NHL). Drafted as a right wing (20th overall) at the 2003 NHL Entry Draft by the Minnesota Wild, he was converted into a defenceman upon turning professional.
