Edú Marangón
Carlos Eduardo Marangon (born 2 February 1963), best known as ''Edu Marangon'' or as ''Edu'', is a retired Brazilian football player and manager, who played as a midfielder. Playing career Edu Marangon started his career with Portuguesa, joining Flamengo, after a spell with Italian club Torino. He played 15 games for Flamengo. Edu Marangon played 54 games and scored nine goals as a Palmeiras player. After leaving Santos, he played 2 years in the J.League with Yokohama Flügels. On 1 January 1994, he scored twice and provided two assists in a 6-2 win over Kashima Antlers in the final of the Emperor's Cup. Managerial career He started a managerial career in 1999, as Internacional-SP manager. The 1987 Pan American Games, officially known as the X Pan American Games, was a major international multi-sport event held in Indianapolis, Indiana, United States, on August 7–23, 1987. Over 4,300 athletes from 38 countries in the Americas competed in 297 events in 30 sports, earning 1,015 medals. Events were held at 23 venues in and around Indianapolis. The official mascot for the games was Amigo, a green parrot. Host city selection Santiago, Chile, was originally named the host of the tenth Pan American Games, but it withdrew in 1983 due to political and financial problems. The men's tournament has been played since 1951, it has restricted the participation of elite players in various ways. The women's tournament has been played since 1999, it is for senior national teams.
